Christmas
Mom and Dad hosted the Christmas Festivities this year. We started in the afternoon with some appitizers. On the right Noni is trying to decide which to taste.
Mom did lots of decorations, including the Dickens village a tree (below) and a lot more. The house was beautiful and festive, but not overdone. It was very nice.
Before our turkey dinner we opened gifts. Below, right, Dad is working on opening one of his packages.
October Camping and Championship Baseball
We made our indian-summer-run to Lett's Lake with Ted in October for some relaxation. On the right, Ted has reeled in a nice rainbow trout from the shore. We also spent time out on the kayaks, too, where Ted fell victim to a pretty bad sunburn. The water level was pretty low, as you can see in the picture below.
We also made some time for a post-season baseball game. The Oakland A's made it to the American League Championship Series and we were able to get some bleacher seats for game 5 against the Anaheim Angels.
Lake Mendocino at Record Low Level
October saw the water level in Lake Mendocino at a record low level. On the right, the north boat ramp is not only out of the water, the water is still several hundred yards out across the dry lake bed.
Below, the east fork of the Russian River is more of a creek as is snakes its way across the lake bed to the water. If the water level were normal, I would have been waist high in the lake when I took the shot below, right. Instead, the dry lake has become an off-road playground for dirtbikes, ATVs and 4 wheelers.
Lions Club Pancake Breakfast and Youth Football
The Ukiah Host Lions Club swung back into the fundraising spirit in September as it served its Annual Pancake Breakfast in conjunction with the Early Iron Car Show. Above, Ernie, Phil and Mike are watching over the grille as it warms-up. Meanwhile, Bob has made his way to the trailer to get coffee from Mike and Chan. On the right, Bob is pouring a batch of pancakes as Ben (in the background) works on the sausage.
In addition to the Pancake Feed, the club also mans the concession stand for local High School and Youth Football games. The primary philanthropy for the club is the Lions Youth Football organization. As a result of our support the kids don't have to pay to play football (below, right).

August
There has been a lot going on here in August. After moving into the new building at work last month, this month has been busy at home. We made it to an A's Rangers game(right) and Dad and I were able to head up to Cow Mountain to do some four wheeling and target practice. The truck continues to perform well and Dad tore it up with the mini.
August also saw a lot of wildfires in the local area. The sunset below was taken coming home from the A's game. The picture does not do justice to the deep reds of the sunset.
Camping at Lett's Lake
July brings vacation time so a bunch of us ran off to Lett's Lake to do some camping, fishing, kayaking and relaxing. Ted name up and met us in the Mustang, right.
We drove up with Braden and Heather and we had a blast. We stopped on the way up to do some shooting, below.
The heat was pretty tough, so we spent a lot of time in the lake. Below, right, Braden hits the tree swing.

Braden's Birthday Kayak & Canoe Trip
Braden's annual birthday trip on the Russian River was a blast, as usual.
WSRL Gathers in Southern California
The members of the WSRL made their way to Paul's place in Southern California in April to get together for some fun and to attend the California 500 NASCAR race.
