Vacation Time in Cabo

Driving over the Golden Gate Bridge on the way to SFO
Trish and I flew to Mexico in early September to meet friends, relax and unwind in Cabo San Lucas. As we drove through the Bay Area en route SFO we snapped the picture on the right as we crossed the Golden Gate at sunrise. The traffic was light and we made good time to the airport where we caught our Alaska Airlines flight to Cabo.
We connected with our ride from the airport to our hotel, the Villa del Palmar. It's a fairly short drive from the airport to town at around 30 minutes. Once at the hotel we checked in, got to our room and started the relaxation. We spent plenty of time in the pool and on the beach. We also made our way into town to hear some good music and eat some good food at Cabo Wabo.
The weather the first day was tropical: very warm and humid. But things turned dark and stormy when Tropical Storm Lowell passed by. When the storm hit, at 3AM, the thunder and lightning were active and the wind and rain were very strong and heavy. Hotel employees were quickly moving furniture and getting other items out of the storm. Thankfully Lowell stayed to the west.
